Autumn 2011 Newsletter
Welcome to the Autumn 2011 igeek newsletter. It's been a busy year and we thought we'd share with you some of our news.
There are lots of new websites online that we've helped come to fruition. Have a look at Charlie Hamilton James's site. Charlie is an internationally-renowned wildlife photographer and filmmaker. His new site has a complete Content Management System, dynamic image management, online shop, blog and video elements so itâs as rich in features as it is in imagery.
We're getting more and more enquiries about mobile working, especially people wanting to work on their iPads or smartphones. With a new product called FileMaker Go you can access your database or business application on the move, 24 hours a day, with no need to be near a laptop or computer. As FileMaker-accredited developers we're in the perfect place to get you started. Let us know if you're interested.
Dhek Bhal's new site is now online. It's very content-rich so needs an especially effective navigation system and a Content Management System to keep the site well up to date. Dhek Bhal promote a range of services to help south Asian people living close to us, here in Bristol.
We've upgraded our servers so that your databases can now create calendars that are readable on iPhones and iPads running the latest mobile operating system, iOS5. For the uninitiated, any FileMaker database can now be turned into a fully-featured calendaring system, creating Google or iCal calendars. You can view your diaries or work schedules online or via your smartphone or mobile device. If you weren't aware of this ability and are interested in implementing something like it, feel free to get in touch.
Also showing off its new look and feel is the Avoriaz Alpine Ski School's new website. It too has a Content Management System that lets the siteâs owners change content at will and itâs particularly search engine friendly. We helped Avoriaz become easier to find via Google and other search engines, a service we offer to all our clients. Contact us to find out more.
